umar elbably
i grew up in London, ON. after spending my childhood playing runescape and world of warcraft [and a quick semi-pro poker stint], i became fascinated by understanding the products we use every day. naturally, i began my undergrad in neuroscience to understand people and finished at Ivey Business School to understand business. everyone there was 10x smarter than me. i built Faculty from 2018 to 2023. my investors changed my life and taught me so much. my partners and teammates were some of the smartest and most creative people i've ever met. Faculty was acquired by Estée Lauder Companies. then i led new ventures at Elemy, sourcing, building, and incubating innovative solutions in mental health. i'm currently working at Flatiron Health, owning the operational strategy and systems that maximize product and engineering goals, business outcomes, and customer satisfaction. i love my dog. if i'm not working or playing with Netsel, i'm reading literary fiction; cooking/baking or eating; rock climbing or running; browsing furniture; nerding out about films; or immersing myself in products and companies.
things i'm building
